Prudential AVC update

Prudential, our current AVC provider, have made the Trustee aware of significant delays in the processing of contributions.
We understand that whilst AVC contributions have been deducted from salaries and paid to Prudential, members are not able to see their recent AVC contribution(s) when accessing their account.

Prudential have put in place a recovery plan to improve their services along with recruiting additional administrators.

They have confirmed that no members will be out of pocket due to the delays in investing contributions. These contributions will be processed at the date they should have been invested (i.e. when they were paid to them), putting members back where they should have been had the contributions been invested on time.

The delays are also impacting the disinvestment of members’ AVC pot and therefore delaying payment of some benefits from the Scheme. We understand from Prudential, that when this has happened, members have raised their complaint with them and where applicable compensation has been paid.  Members will have to raise their complaint through the Trustee, as the policyholder, by emailing RPMI enquiries@rpmi.co.uk.

The Trustee is keeping this situation under active review and we will update you as soon as we have further information.
